We at SteelDirect.com want to provide our customers with as many payment options as possible to make it easy to do business with us. There are two parts to the payment process.
Down Payment
After you sign your SteelDirect.com quote and send it to us as your building order, we require a 25% down payment in order to begin work on your project. There are several options available for providing the down payment. We accept credit cards (MasterCard or Visa), certified check, money order, electronic funds transfer, or personal check. Because we cannot proceed with your building order until we receive the 25% down payment, it would be a good idea to send your check or money order via an overnight delivery service (UPS, FedEx, etc.). And in the case of a personal check, we will have to wait until the check clears our account.
Remaining Payment
The balance of your order can be paid prior to shipment with a check, credit card or electronic funds transfer. Funds must clear our account before your order will be released for shipment. Or you can choose to have your order, including any accessories you have purchased, shipped C.O.D. (cash on delivery). This means that you must hand the truck driver a certified check for the remaining amount before the materials are unloaded. For this portion of the transaction, we will accept only a certified check. Personal checks will not be accepted. If you desire, you may work with your Customer Account Representative to determine a method of payment that works best for you.
